Osteoporosis screening or bone density test is a specialized ultrasound test to measure the density of the shinbone.
Vaginal atrophy may be treated with laser using a device such as the Mona Lisa for vaginal rejuvenation. Commonly 3 treatments may be required.
Removal of cervical polyp
A transvaginal ultrasound uses an ultrasound probe in the vagina to study pelvic organs such as the uterus and ovaries.
Circumscision is a surgical removal of the skin covering tip of penis. It is often performed on newborns in the first couple of days of life. It should be performed by experienced staff and under local anesthetic. Often a device is used to cut the foreskin off and then the wound dressed with gauze.
An endometrial biopsy is the removal of a tissue sample from the lining of the uterus and commonly done to diagnose bleeding conditions. The procedure is done in the office, can take a few minutes and is painful.
Cryoablation of the cervix is an office procedure where a freezing gas (liquid nitrogen) freezes and destroys precancerous cells on the cervix. It's relatively painless and usually two freeze-thaw cycles are performed.
LEEP stands for loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP). It is commonly done to treat high-grade cervical dysplasia found after a PAP smear, colposcopy or cervical biopsy. It can be done under local anesthetic or twilight sedation.
Colposcopy is a diagnostic procedure where an illuminated magnified inspection of the vulva, vagina and cervix can detect premalignant and cancerous conditions. It is best done away from periods, doesn't take long and not painful. If a biopsy is needed there may be some discomfort.
